What is the difference between comics and anime and manga and animation?

Two production models; American is growing more similar to Japan.  
Style; Manga ignores anatomy 
            Anime is based on traditional art, traditional ideals that are about schematics in Asian traditions. You never have to look at a real person to do a manga character. 
            American comics are based off life drawing and the west. 
                        It takes time to learn how to draw as a elite practice. There is a social divide. Manga is trying to make it simple for everyone to copy it. It is promoted by fan art. Simple drawings. Anime won’t sue you like Disney. 
            There are thousands of people doing FMA comics and nobody gets sued. 
            
            Almost everyone who does animation now responds to manga
            Because of translation, we have very little manga anime in this contrary. When mostly just have the cuteness. 



            Americans don’t hold the same feel of guilt and shame on a family.
            Challenging the patriarchal model.
            The war was a big mistake that brought everyone down. 
            70s finally gave a voice to post war trauma
            A lot of trauma came from the bomb
            
            Why do you want to know more about this and what is the effect of that?
            How has this effected America and everyone’s childhood?
            
            America springs from Judo Christian culture. Japan comes from their philosophy and religious belief.

Week Seven Feb. 27: Shonen and Seinen.              Boys Manga             Before this class, I read 20 th Century Boys. I didn’t understand that it was jumping between past present and future till class. the manga really confused me. I feel as though I would have needed to see the end to understand the beginning. The more I read, the more confused I was. I was sad when I found out about the death of the man that was remembered as the little kid with snot running down his nose. The way he was made fun of, but still saved them made him super likeable. This kind. of makes me think of how we also talked about FMA. In that show Hews dies. Week Ten March 26: Isekai:              Leveling up             Dragon ball, another anime I actually know. My ex really liked this show, so I actually knew a lot about it before the class. Surprisingly, I also really like the reincarnation as a slime story. This whole concept of leveling up makes me wonder if they are talking about life or a videogame.              In reincarnated as a slime, it really did give me a video game vibe. He got past the early levels, beat some little bosses, acquired his kingdom, acquired a metal worker… all things that could count for a video games.
